This guide provides applicants with a clear description of the process for each type of development application, with clear process diagrams and instructions. The purpose of this guide is to decrease the amount of time spent by planning staff explaining these processes and reduce the potential for misunderstanding. The guide is intended to be customized by local governments to fit their processes and requirements and then shared with applicants through the local government’s planning webpage. However, it is still valuable as a general resource for developers if the local government has not customized it.
